A note too - This isn't the first time I went through that same car wash; the person there even said he recognizes me from going through before so it's not like the sunroof was in bad condition or weak.
My car did look great at the end though =DBroken Glass in Car Wash - Who Should Pay!?

Unless you can prove that something inside the car wash hit your sunroof or fell onto your sunroof, there is nothing you can do. It is difficult to say what actually happened. Perhaps the sunroof was extremely cold and they used very hot water or it was very warm and they used very cold water. It should not have shattered either way, but strange things do happen.
Your comprehensive insurance on your car should cover the damage. There may be a small deductible. I do not think that you will have any luck trying to get the car wash to pay for it unless you can prove negligence.
How cold was it?
An automated car wash, particularly a touchless wash will not damage a car unless the car already has an issue. My suspicion here is either there was already a problem with the sunroof glass (cracked, bad seal) or the glass was extremely cold and shattered on contact with the hot water. Automotive glass is shockingly intolerate of sudden temperature changes and can be extremely brittle. Qucik temperature change combined with high pressure water could break the glass in the right circumstances.
With most carwashes, the companies say that you use them at your own risk and that they accept no responsibility for any damage caused to your vehicle, so im afraid it will probably be you who has to pay. That said, do check with the carwash operator; they might have some kind of insurance or special policies.
Good luck!
first check with yours and than there insurance company
this is why a lot of washes are going touchless
you would need to prove a defect in there brush for them to pay you could always try and sue them in small claims coourt they may opt to settle rather than hire a lawyer to defend them (buisness usually hire lawyers its not required)
They should pay, unless they had a sign that specifically stated that they were not responsible for broken glass or windows.
Well, I'm assuming that by entering the carwash you read a list of regulations and assume responsibility.
By going though the car wash, passes full responibilty onto u
call your insurance and ask them, go to the car wash and ask about their policy on damages to vehicles. chances are they will not be liable and this will have to be done at your own cost.
damn,i would hope that car wash sent you right to the glass shop to get it repaired ! negative remarks about this could ruin that car-wash
obviously you should pay for your car's maintenance! believe nobody should come up and show you the truth!
the owner of the car wash
they should pay, unless there's a sign that says no sunroofs haha
I'll pay now, for you. coming with cash

You're in a really tough bind in this situation due to the simple fact that car washes typically have policies that imply you are using them at your own risk. However, this does not necessarily mean that they are not responsible, or that you can't or wont be compensated for your damages.
Your first step should be at resolving this directly with the car wash management. If they do not cooperate, you should at a minimum be able to get a receipt from them, the name of the manager, and any other employee names you can gather. Ask the manager for a business card. Once you are home, take pictures, the more the better. You want to document the incident as best as possible.
Your next step should be to take it up with the better business bureau (bbb). You can fill out a report with them online. www.bbb.org The bbb assists consumers in resolving disputes. I have found them to be most helpful in my own past experiences. The bbb does not have the leverage to force any company into compliance, however, they can help you skip right to the right people within the company, and can show the company just how serious you are about resolving the incident. The bbb has a very successful track record in this department.
Lastly, if all else fails, your last resort is to take the company to small claims court. Small claims court can be taken up with any local magistrate. It is usually around $50.00 to take someone to court, and does not require hiring an attorney. If you win the case, the defendants can be ordered to pay your court costs, in addition to damages. When going to small claims court, be sure to have your story straight. Assemble and organize all of your documentation, including correspondance with the bbb, the company, and all photographs. As long as you have done a good job with documentation, you have a good chance of winning your case.
