Washing a glass jar it broke in my hand and cut my left thumb profusely. Now it's healed but cannot bend it.?

the top of thumb cannot bend on its own towards the palm. It is straight. Now I can touch my little finger with it,but I cannot bend it.Washing a glass jar it broke in my hand and cut my left thumb profusely. Now it's healed but cannot bend it.?
A trip to your PCP is in order . You may have damaged your ligaments , muscles ,or tendons in your hand . Not being able to bend it shows that you cut deeper than you thought . Scar tissue can encapsulate your tendons , ligaments , and muscles so it could be that . A doctor will be able to test to see if that is in-fact what you did , the course of treatment will range from physical therapy to surgery .Washing a glass jar it broke in my hand and cut my left thumb profusely. Now it's healed but cannot bend it.?
is that where the cut is? Do you mean that when you try to bend it there's no function at all, or that you can't bend it because it's painful or feels like there's something in the way?

P.S. I hope you put anti-biotic like neosporin on it, or peroxide if its not a real deep cut, and preferably a bandage. How long ago did you cut it? If it was just recently, then I'd just try to rest it and wait a few days. If it's been a while, then you may have severed a nerve or ligaments or something (although it would hurt more if it were ligaments) and should get that checked out.
Go to the doctor. Just go to the doctor. There might be scar tissue or infection...extreme stiffness isn't a good sign.
