How do you wash windows and glass - a home made solution at very little cost please.?

We are on a money saving adventure - this will be another little hint to add to our collection. Thank you RRHow do you wash windows and glass - a home made solution at very little cost please.?
four to one ratio of water (four parts) and white vinegar (one part). You can put it into a squirt bottle, and spray it on, or you could apply it with a wash rag. Wipe off with newspaper - it does not leave streaks, and it is easy to get hold of almost anywhere. :o)How do you wash windows and glass - a home made solution at very little cost please.?
I spray warm water onto glass/mirror and then wipe vigorously with ';E cloth';. No chemicals and cloth can be washed again and again.
yeah vinegar and water are great. to top it off after it is dry, use a piece of newspaper to wipe it thoroughly, and you'll get a clean , sparkling window and glass....:)
I clean houses and office and do windows all the time. Vinegar and water are good for windows another hint I have found out when wiping windows or mirror have air stirring the less humidity the less streaks. When I do mirrors with lights above the mirror I keep the lights off to keep the humidity down. Also I use cleaning towels to wipe dry. Sometimes too Windows are made different now days they are not completely glass it is plastic I sometimes just use plain water on a cleaning rag and then wipe dry with a dry cleaning rag.
50-50 rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle and use news paper. Works great!!!!
Add some white synthetic vinegar to water to dilute - any amount will do, experimentation is best.

Then wipe with old newspapers.
Put some water in a bucket and add ammonia. You don't need a lot, but it's cheap anyhow. Wipe it on the window with a sponge and squeegee it off. Use a paper towel to get what the squeegee misses. You can dry the paper towel out and use it again. The outside of windows can get really grimy over the years. You can scrub them with steel wool between the sponge and the squeegee. It won't scratch the glass.
vinegar %26amp; water, but I don't know the ratio
vinegar %26amp; water %26amp; wipe with newspaper
This is what I've used for years. I believe I got the original ';recipe'; from Consumers Reports'; in a cleaning products article.

Use a gallon bottle or cut recipe accordingly to bottle size

1/2 cup sudsy ammonia

1/2 pint rubbing alcohol (90%)

1 teaspoon dish washing liquid

enough water to make 1 gallon of solution

Breaks down to about 25 cents a quart.

I saw newspapers recommended as a towel. The soy ink on newsprint can do a real smear number, especially on white painted window sashes. Learned that the hard way.
