How can i get the smell out of my glass blender? i use it frequently and wash/soak it but it smells funky.?

Try blending up a lemon. If that doesn't work try baking soda??

Also - if you haven't taken it apart to clean it lately it could be harboring all kinds of funky smelling bacteria. Take the bottom off and soak all the pieces in hot soapy water. How can i get the smell out of my glass blender? i use it frequently and wash/soak it but it smells funky.?
Baking soda is non toxic and works. It also has no odor of it's own, unlike vinegar. How can i get the smell out of my glass blender? i use it frequently and wash/soak it but it smells funky.?
Bleach and water would work as previously mentioned, however since this will be in contact with food I prefer to use a non-toxic solution of vinegar and water or lemon juice and water ... Combine one part acid and one part water, cover and blend for 3 mins. This will help to de-funk the glass, blades and mechanism.

I find warm to hot water works best but you have to be careful about placing the top on hot liquids as it can create a pressure problem and blow the lid causing a mess ... if your lid has a vent go ahead, if not stick with tepid temps.
Soak it in soapy bleach water.
I use baking soda and I have used vineger also. I think vineger works better.
Good old fashioned bleach and water. Soak it for a few minutes, rinse. Bada boom, bada bing.
I find the same things happen to my vases. I use some uncooked rice with a cup of white wine vinegar, and 2 cups water. Cover and shake vigerously. Then wash with warm soapy water. It should help. Other people use toothpaste to clean things as it freshenes as it cleans :-) Hope it helps good luck
I like the bada boom bada bing bleach answer but I also agree that I wouldnt want to mix bleach with something I was going to eat later. I say just use some plain white vinegar and warm water. this should take care of any bactiria in the glass that is causing the odor. Vinegar is the answer to almost everything, did you know you can put it in your wash during the rinse cycle instead of fabric softner and it will remove all the lint from your cloths, make thems smell good, and they will be fluffy... You can also use vinegar and water to clean your mirrors and windows instead of glass cleaner and it works better and doesnt leave streaks...

Good Luck...
leave something in it that smells better for a long time until that liquid oozes into the glass
