Is it true that you really don't have to wash a beer glass because the alcohol will kill the germs in 8 secs ?

you gotta wash them cause the rim gets all funky looking from the chips etc that you munch on while drinking.Is it true that you really don't have to wash a beer glass because the alcohol will kill the germs in 8 secs ?

no its not true at all..

bacteria grow faster and faster with the slowly warming glass -as less liquid is in it..


every single drink should be in a clean glass ..


although some old drinkers/bikers have a special pint tankard that they hang from their belt when its empty..


when i pour into these i make sure the nozzle never touches the tankard [or the drink being poured]

Do realize how much spit ends up in the bottom of a glass of beer? How nasty is that? And all the lip gloss and lipstick that women wear? And think of some of the places where some of peoples mouths have been while they have been in a bar or pub? GROSS!!!!


I know for a fact there is a certain degree of hot water that has to be used to clean the glasses!!!
I would say no because no matter how much it could get it wouldn't get as much as you could yourself by cleaning it and with the fact of other peoples mouth being on it, then you should always make sure its as clean as possible
What happens if you have a female wearing lipstick? I once had a glass served to me with lipstick on it and about had a cow over it!
Doubt it, alcohol doesn't kill much besides brain cells to the best of my knowledge
